• Payment information processed through Razorpay (we do not store card details)

• Pages visited, time spent, and interactions on our platform

• To match parents and students with suitable tutors
• To verify tutor identity and qualifications (KYC)

Tutors are required to submit KYC documents including Aadhaar card, educational certificates, and a photograph. This information is considered Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

KYC documents are stored securely on Cloudinary with restricted access. They are accessible only to the tutor themselves and authorized THT admin staff for verification purposes. These documents are never shared with parents or third parties.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Tutors and Parents: Limited profile information is shared to facilitate matches (e.g., tutor name, subjects, locality — but not contact details until a connection is made)
• Service Providers: Cloudinary (file storage), Razorpay (payments), Google (authentication), MSG91 (SMS OTP)
• Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or government regulation

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. KYC documents are retained for a minimum of 3 years as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@thehometuitions.in.

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and analyze platform usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT-based authentication, bcrypt password hashing, and rate limiting on sensitive endpoints. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
